My Deceitful EyesMany claim that the eyes reflect what is true
That they are a medium for what's inside you
But they are not as steadfast as we want them to be
They bluff, they betray, and they've mastered deceit

For my eyes have lied, they have led me astray
They showed me a man who would never walk away
They only reflected what I had wanted to see
Then life proved that he wasn't who I thought him to be

MoonlightWhen I look at the moon
I think of beauty
And the last few nights
While I've watched it's light
Reflect off the rippling water
I've thought of you
I'm unsure of what this means
Other than I am close
Close to finding you
But even when I do
You will not know
For I can't bring myself to tell you
And maybe this means
We're not meant to be
Because most certainly
You will never be
The one looking for me

An Afternoon Hike (30. Under the Rain)An afternoon hike
Along the forest's main trail,
Flowing creek nearby.

Following the trail
Towards the faint, gentle waters,
I am growing close.

Getting nearer now
Close enough to smell it,
My search presses on.

Do my eyes deceive?
The trail sharply turns away
From gentle waters.

A small opening
Leading to the gentle creek,
I go off the path.

It was not easy
Traversing the newfound path;
This creek was worth it.

So peaceful, quiet
I hardly noticed the rain
That accompanied me.

Spider LegsYour hands are cold as ice
and as thin as spider legs

They crawl towards me
slowly
waiting for my reaction

I have no reaction
at least not on the outside,
but on the inside
I want to slap your hand away

But I can't show you
that you're getting to me
I can't let you win

Because if you win
it's all over
everything I've worked so hard for

All the words I said
all the walls I built

Will fall to pieces

Two-Sided CoinIt is said that the more you like someone
the more attractive they become to you

Well, you're looking pretty damn hot right now
so is it because I like you
or are you just that sexy
I don't even know anymore

The perfect face you wear
matches your funny and sweet personality
we made so many happy memories together
so many times you made me smile

But that is just one side
of the coin that makes up your being

It's also said that the more you dislike someone
the more unattractive they are to you

I guess that's why you look like a hideous monster
something that has stepped out of my nightmares
a twisted, angry face
with claws for

Apex PredatorThe wolf is roaming
Sniffing the air
Stalking his prey
With a predator's care

The sheep are flocking
Bleating in fear
The apex predator
Is coming near

With a howl
The wolf catches sight
Of his prey
Running through the night

A lone sheep strays
Lost in the dark
It's heart quickens
When it hears the bark

The wolf settles
Lowered and hunched
Prepared to pounce
It's muscles bunched

The sheep turns
With total surprise
At the lack of hunger
In the wolf's eyes

It's plain to see
The love is deep
When the wolf
Lays with the sheep

Somewhere nearIf you can't see the difference between reality and a dream,
How can you know which one you're living in?

What if,
You some day woke up
Finding yourself in a place,
A time
You didn't know exsisted

It's been told that
Somewhere near
Somewhere far away
In a time and place
We know nothing about

We all live the dreams
We all dream here in this universe.

Not aloneNo, I'm not alone
At one time I thought so
But never before had I felt
The earth cry with me

For so long I had missed
Not only its tears of sorrow
But Its hands reaching out as if to say
"I'm with you"

All it took was a moment
Alone together
The breeze carrying messages
I so long had missed

The wind whips like a sigh
Thunder, a shout of joy
It knows it's not alone
I'm not alone
You're not alone

Here Today Gone TomorrowDo whatever you feel girl,
It's no pain to have no more tears to bleed.
Just don't let my emotions penetrate you,
It's a soul filled with sorrow that lives to feed,
But tomorrow comes to take me away if only I could stay.

Do whatever you need girl,
It's no hate to have no more scars to tear.
Just don't let my feelings violate you,
It's a mind lost in mourning that wants to care,
But tomorrow dawns and I'll be gone to walk the night alone.

Do whatever you desire girl,
It's no fear to have no more limbs to maim.
Just don't let my thoughts desecrate you,
It's a heart broke from lovesick that longs to claim,
But tomorrow rises to gr

A DreamI dream of the sky
Flocks of bird fly
With the sun set
A hand on my chest
Amber eyes caress
I'm lost in her nest

her breath on my neck
its why she's a vex
she makes me a wreck
round luscious hips
show a few tips
then licks her lips

I'm Not an ArtistI'm simply a flower that hasn't bloomed yet,
The Spring I'm waiting for is just around-

No.
Fuck this.
I'm not an artist.
This is not art.
To say otherwise would be a mockery to the art of, well, art

I try, but everything fades.
Lines fade.
Colors fade.
Ideas fade.
Dreams fade.
And I'll fade too someday.

Genesis Of The Black DragonBefore tides from the tears of twisted time,
Came icy breath of a demonic dragon driven so insane,
By the evil of eternity pouring like acid into it's brain.
Naming itself the judge over justice to cleanse celestial crime,
With a corruption that scars purity with wings of pain.

Before sails spread from the shadows of space,
Came crimson eyes of a dark dragon damned to enrage,
By the ill of immortality like dust of it's age.
Heralding itself the angel over anarchy to grant grim grace,
With a loneliness that taints romance with claws of rage.

Before voices vacate from the vortex of the void,
Came black screams of a dire dragon destin

Paper Hearts A clean sheet is how it starts,
An innocent life, with an unblemished heart
Pure bliss of a smile, happy affairs
A laugh, a giggle,
A world with no cares

But each day the paper ages
On it's surface, is found a new stain,
And each day the pencil moves,
All the paper feels is pain

The writer is not always the owner,
For the paper can be stolen from time, to time
And if you take the heart,
It will not come back unscarred

But the words can lie,
The heart can die
Rewrite the story,
Create a new life

Paradigm Of The Lost DivineTake my pitiful mind to a better place,
So I can see the brightest stars shine,
In that abysmal hope called space.
To reach out and touch a forbidden face,
Is the greatest gift anyone could find.

For I have witnessed in vast wonder,
The eternity before this epic I ponder,
Where no creature would consider his death.
But who am I to declare what is up or down?
Nothing is the name of hell in which I drown.

Take my woeful heart to a lesser worth,
So I can hear the darkest sighs scream,
In that dismal void called birth.
That genesis of so mysterious a mirth,
Is the coldest curse anyone could dream.

For I have listened to past laught

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug so intense
that it doesn't make sense
a drug you don't easily get
a drug revealing regret

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug I need every day
a drug which makes me pay
a drug allowing my heart to feel
and ignoring things that are real

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug I'm starting to hate
but can't get off it, it's too late
a drug I finally regret taking
a drug which keeps my body heavily shaking

I'm addicted to a drug
a drug causing me immense pain
though it's just so little, simple and plain
a drug I traded for everything I had
a drug which can only be found inside my head

And always with a humble heart

Someone who may have never had the chance
To use the intelligence she uncovered
Her brilliant mind and caring soul
May have have never been discovered

And her perseverance to help the world
May have never been put to the test
Limitations may have been set
Not allowing her to do

To catch me, they will try their best
But they can't
I'll flee

I have now escaped myself
My eyes are open
I see

I won't be the victim of anyone else

I was always flying

Of all the games
Of all the screams and lying

But still you took
A piece of my heart

But drowned by the noise, my voice fades away

I have something I want to make known
But away with the wind, it's once again blown

I have something that's important to me
But nothing I do will get them to see

I have something I want people to hear
