Worth The Fight

I dance, and I cry,
And I look life in the eye
While so many turn their heads, afraid to see
All that life brings,
how it screams and how it sings
and how it ebbs, and flows, and sways constantly

Yet in its inconsistency,
Is unprecedented beauty
Which undoubtedly exists, though hard to find
Dispersed throughout the rubble,
of the terror and the trouble
But anything this great is worth the time

So don’t tell me you won’t make it
don’t say that you can’t take it
Because it’s coming-I promise-hold tight
You’ll look back from the other side
With new passion in your stride
And realize this life was worth the fight
